About Lorke

We built Lorke for Gyumri’s most important evenings — so that everyone who walks through our doors feels like a guest of honour.

The complex stands on the shore of a lake, in the shade of tall poplars. Inside: an enfilade of arches, marble, brass and the glow of crystal chandeliers; outside: a terrace over the water and a pavilion for open-air ceremonies.

Լորկե

The name

“Լորկե” (Lorke) is an old Armenian song and dance. It was performed at weddings, when the bride left her parents’ home, and at the Vardavar summer festival. The word itself comes from the Armenian “լոր”, a quail. Lorke is a place for celebrations worthy of that name.

A whole world under one roof

01Ground floor
Lobby

An enfilade of arches, a marble floor and cascades of crystal, with the round lower bar at its centre. This is where an evening at Lorke begins.
02Ground floor
Grand hall

Tall arched windows, blue-lit arches, a stage, concert lighting and sound. For weddings and large celebrations.
03First floor
Upstairs lobby

A warm lobby upstairs: travertine, a wooden ceiling and a softly lit staircase. From here guests go on to the upper hall and the upper bar.

Upper hall

An upstairs hall for up to 100 guests: stone arches, a beamed wooden ceiling, wrought-iron chandeliers and torch sconces.

Three private rooms

Private dining rooms upstairs: a long table, velvet armchairs, wrought-iron chandeliers and torches in stone arches. For family dinners, business meetings and quiet conversations.

Lower bar

Under a red-tiled arch, right in the centre of the lobby. A morning espresso, a lunchtime meeting, an evening cocktail.

Upper bar

Upstairs, under a wooden ceiling: red tiles, softly lit arches and wrought-iron lanterns. Cosier and more intimate.

Celebrations

For days to remember

A fully equipped professional stage with high-quality sound and multifunctional lighting effects. Lasers, smoke, fireworks and more than 16,000 lighting effects, and in the evening, the blue glow of the arches and hundreds of crystal lights.

Pavilion

Cake area

The round pavilion stands right on the lake, reached by a small bridge. It hosts outdoor ceremonies and wedding photo shoots, and in the evening its lights are reflected in the water.
